It’s not just the likes of MiniArt and Rye Field that can produce impressive armour kits with interiors, as IBG has joined the fray with its 1/35 Polish 7TP twin-turret tank. CHRIS CLIFFORD gives his verdict.
Modellers who favour less obvious armour subjects have a splendid option in IBG’s new 1/35 7TP (7-ton, Polish) tank. The real machine was built between 1935-39 and came in single- and twin-turret formats. Here, IBG presents the early twin-turret example and it’s packed with detail…not least due to an entire interior being provided.

The kit (35071) comes via 14 runners in grey styrene, some being identical, and one thing is immediately apparent… there are few large parts, the biggest being the hull floor and sides. The remainder comprises much smaller components which, when combined, produce an impressive replica of this light tank.
A full engine and transmission is provided, with 30-plus parts in total forming this equipment, and there’s more to enliven the driver compartment, such as the seat, pedals and the like, before tackling the separate front axle unit. Also included is the ammunition storage, w…
