Accurascale reveals Andrew Barclay decorated samples

Accurascale has unveiled decorated samples of its forthcoming ’OO' gauge Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST for assessment by the development team.

These ‘OO’ gauge locomotives form part of the former Hattons Originals tooling acquired by Accurascale recently and development has been progressing well. The company has absorbed this new batch of models into its own portfolio of products together with several other models including the South Eastern and Chatham Railway (SECR) ‘P’ 0-6-0T and ‘Warwell’ well wagon for ‘OO’.

Accuraacale notes that some improvements will be needed.

Following examinaton of this batch of decorated samples, several minor amendments have been identified that will be progressed before production commences. In addition, the three link couplings will be altered on all locomotives to offer a more prototypical appearance.

Some errors in lining are present on the samples.

Customers who originally ordered these models through Hattons have had their order transferred to Accurascale, unless they requested otherwise. A small quantity of models are still available to pre-order.

Full production is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks with an anticipated delivery date of late 2024. Available DCC ready, they are priced at £99.95 each.
