The extensive 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf 109 family from AZ Model continues to blossom. Here, CHRIS CLIFFORD appraises two recent reworkings.
AZ Model’s journey with the iconic Bf 109 in 1/72 scale began in 2013, when it started to explore the G-series airframes. Fast-forward to the present day and more than 60 boxings on the theme have been issued. These comprise straight re-releases, fresh decals and new parts to replicate many different variants throughout Bf 109E, F and G bloodlines. AZ’s forethought on how it could employ generic runners is impressive.
