UPDATED: Bachmann reveals autumn 2023 British Railway Announcements

Bachmann has revealed its Autumn 2023 British Railway Announcements with a raft of newly-tooled models across its 'OO', 'N' and 'OO9' ranges, including new tooling and fresh identities for existing models.

Headlining this quarter’s British Railway Announcements is a refurbished version of the British Rail (BR) Southern Region Class 411 4-CEP Electric Multiple Unit (EMU), reflecting variants of the main fleet. Two models are planned initially finished as Class 411/9 3-CEP 1199 in South West Trains livery and Class 422/7 4-TEP  2703 in BR blue and grey livery.

BR’s Class 411 4-CEP and 4-BEP fleet underwent refurbishment at Swindon Works between 1979 and 1984. On completion, most had been outshopped as 4-CEP units, with seven 4-BEP units completed for use on the London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour route. They featured new tinted glass, hopper window vents and relocation of the two guard's compartments to a single, central location.
