This unique banking locomotive was designed by James Anderson for use in assisting trains on the Midland Railway's notorious Lickey Bank between Barnt Green and Bromsgrove railway stations.
‘Big Bertha’s‘ specification includes a die-cast metal chassis, firebox flicker, working front light, 21-pin DCC decoder socket and factory-fitted stay alive, with digital sound options also available utilising an ESU LokSound V5 sound decoder.
Four liveries are planned including Midland Railway black, LMS black, BR black with early crests (numbered as 58100) and fictional Midland Railway lined Crimson Lake.
Prices are set at £220 DCC ready, £250 DCC fitted and £320 DCC sound-fitted, with release expected in late 2024.
