FOR AS LONG as I can remember, I have always been interested in model railways. Having moved into my first house in 2011, I finally had the space to build a layout. After a couple of little projects that I started in my spare room to practise some basic skills, the decision was made to take the trains into the loft. 

This offered me the opportunity of more space, and meant that the spare room could be used as a spare room again. The layout is a fictional location in South Wales, and operates in a loose time span, running from about 2000 to 2007, although there are the odd interlopers from outside this period.
