1:1 collection 'Black five' due November

THE FIRST of Hornby’s new 1:1 Collection limited edition models is due to arrive in November modelling Stanier ‘Black Five’ 4-6-0 45379. The model is restricted to 1,000 pieces and will be released to match the real locomotive in the 1:1 Collection which carries BR lined black with late crests.

45379 was a resident at the Mid Hants Railway until the end of its boiler certificate. It is currently stored in the 1:1 Collection in Hornby’s former factory building awaiting overhaul for a return to steam.

Priced at £174.99, the ‘Black Five’ (Cat No. R3805) will feature an 8-pin decoder socket and space for a 28mm round speaker in the tender.
