Hornby acquires Oxford Diecast

Hornby plc has acquired the remaining 51% share capital of LCD Enterprises it did not already own for £1.3 million.

LCD Enterprises holds majority interests in the Oxford Diecast Group which produces collectable die-cast vehicles and model railway products through its popular Oxford Diecast and Oxford Rail brands.

The remaining stake was held by Lyndon Davies, now Hornby plc Chief Executive, and his wife Catherine Davies. Hornby plc previously acquired 49% of the share capital in December 2017.

In a statement, Hornby said, “The company believes the Oxford Diecast Group's portfolio of brands and industry knowledge are complementary to its existing brand portfolio and that opportunities exist for the two businesses to work collaboratively together to grow both businesses.’
