THE GREAT War Special Interest Group displays include models of all aspects of the Great War, including aircraft, tanks, artillery, dioramas and vignettes.
We aim to keep the memory of the Great War alive, and our models help people visualise the reality of that conflict. Our models also show how new technologies like aircraft and tanks developed and in some cases resulted in rather weird and wonderful machines. We produce a free Newsletter which is available through the IPMS Great War SIG website.
We display at model shows all around the UK and are happy to give advice on constructing models of First World War subjects. If you want to know about building and rigging planes with more than one wing, we are the people to ask!
