Demonstrator: Richard Hall | Subject: Detailing and modifying ready-to-run locomotives and rolling stock
Specialising in detailing and modifying ‘OO’ gauge locomotives and rolling stock, Richard Hall has documented these projects in Hornby Magazine monthly issues and Yearbook annuals since 2021 with step-by-step guides.
On show at Model World LIVE will be examples of Richard’s work, predominantly focused on replicating preserved locomotives synonymous with UK heritage railways and modern image rolling stock.
Many of Richard’s detailing subjects relate to his two under-construction layouts and details of both model railways will be presented - building a scale model of Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and a prototype-inspired station on the York to Leeds route, firmly set in the modern era between 2017 and 2020.
Locomotives and stock on display include those already featured in the pages of Hornby Magazine and unpublished projects that are set to appear during 2024. Select locomotives will also be detailed and personalised by Richard live during the exhibition to demonstrate the techniques involved and all questions welcomed.
