Oakenshaw - the North West in 'OO' gauge

Redditch Model Railway Club looked to West Yorkshire in the 1950s for their latest exhibition layout, which as GUY CRADDOCK explains, draws inspiration from across the region.

Back in 2010 we had just more or less finished our latest project Dagnell End (HM34) and we were starting to plan the next big club project - a West Midlands prototype location - and so our club members decided we needed a quick project to keep them occupied whilst we finished the research into the new one.
