Without doubt, the aircraft that restored the global reputation of France as a leading aeronautical designer was the Dassault Mirage III.
It was with the advent of this family that the world began to take serious notice of the French arms industry…and the Générale Aéronautique Marcel Dassault in particular. Adopted by a series of air arms around the world, the combat-proven Mirage III enjoyed a production history of more than three decades and it flew in many roles, such as air defence, ground attack and reconnaissance.
