Radio controlled aircraft and simulators join Model World LIVE

Radio controlled aircraft are joining the Model World LIVE 2024 line up with a special display assembled by the England Jet Team/JMC England, British Model Flying Assoication (BMFA) and Jet Modellers Association featuring static displays of working aircraft as well as simulators operated by the BMFA giving visitors the chance to try out the controls of a radio controlled aircraft.

Radio controlled Gnat.

The display will feature radio controlled aircraft which range from one third scale First World War biplanes to modern day turbine jets. Some jets present were flown at Jet World Masters 2023, which is the pinnacle of scale jet competition, by the England Jet Team.

The BMFA, which oversees all RC flying in the UK will be present with four simulators so visitors can try there hand at flying radio control aircraft as well as answering questions about this area of modelling.

The jets on display by Jet Modellers Association can weigh up to 30kg and there will also be examples of aircraft capable of aerobatics no full-size aircraft could perform - withstanding forces over 20 times the force of gravity, as well as products from the UK and abroad.

The final line up of aircraft will be confirmed at the time of the show, as all aircraft are in regular flight with the RC clubs and members.
