Rapido Trains UK has revealed details of the first batch of its eagerly-awaited 1:76 scale Leyland National single decker bus, with a wide selection of liveries planned.
Design work on the bus is in the final stages with CAD renders of the new model released. As with the real thing, the company is planning to release the model in short and long body styles including short body with single door (design 1051/1R), short body with dual doors (1051/2R), long body with single door (1151/1R) and long body with dual doors (1151/2R), together with Phase 1 and Phase 2 exterior detail differences such as the distinctive long and short ventilation pods at the rear.
24 different liveries are planned, covering National Bus Company and de-regulated colour schemes, as well as officially licensed London Trainsport liveries.
Release is expected during 2023, although prices have yet to be confirmed.
