VIDEO: Seven Mill Depot in ‘O’ gauge

Seven Mill Depot

Seven Mill Depot is Hornby Magazine's first 'O' gauge exhibition layout. It was built in November 2019 to show how, even with limited space, an 'O' gauge model railway can be built to fit in at home.

The total size of this depot is 11ft x 3ft including its traverser storage yard. Features include a two road depot, stabling sidings and a fuelling point. Operation is enhanced by the need to shunt locomotives between headshunts to reach the different areas of the trackplan while all models completed for its debut at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition in November 2019 were fitted with digital sound.

Seven Mill Depot uses a Gaugemaster Prodigy controller to take charge of the trains while other features include a row of Skytrex low relief North Light factory buildings at the rear and a Skytrex resin single track road bridge as the break between the scenic and non-scenic sections.
