TMC has commissioned an exclusive version of the recently announced all-new ‘OO’ gauge Bachmann Class 31 modelling 31452 Minotaur, in Fragonset livery (Cat No. 35-825Y/SF/SFX).
This all-new 'OO' gauge model represents a refurbished Class 31/4 which has had its original Mirrlees engine replaced with an English Electric 12SVT and electric train heating (ETH) fitted. Some of these locomotives were bought by Fragonset from EWS starting in 1998 and were painted into the striking black with red stripe livery that Fragonset used.
Utilising Bachmann’s extensive tooling suite for the new Class 31s, this example will feature correct detailing for a Class 31/4 with correct roof exhaust ports and engine room detailing visible. It will also feature a five-pole motor, twin flywheels, die-cast chassis, engine room lights and more. DCC sound fitted deluxe models will additionally feature a rotating fan and new auto-release uncoupling system.
Available exclusively from TMC, the model is priced at £199.95 DCC ready, £309.95 DCC sound-fitted and £325.95 for DCC sound-fitted deluxe models. This exclusive model is scheduled for a mid 2024 release.
