WIN! A Hornby Centenary Year Sir Nigel Gresley train set! Worth £250

To celebrate Hornby’s 100th anniversary and our Hornby Centenary special issue Hornby Hobbies and Hornby Magazine are offering a special competition prize – one of its Centenary Year Sir Nigel Gresley train sets worth £250. Plus we have 15 runner up prizes consisting of five centenary pens and ten Hornby 2020 pin badges.

The Sir Nigel Gresley train set has a special place in Hornby’s history. The first passenger train set released in Hornby Dublo’s debut year in 1938 featured Sir Nigel Gresley and LNER Gresley coaches. It was available in clockwork and 12v DC formats and became a signature of the manufacturer’s early career in ‘OO’ gauge.

Hornby’s new limited edition centenary set replicates as closely as possible that first set from 1938 in featuring ‘A4’ 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley Gresley Corridor Third 1434 and Corridor Composite Brake 58700 coaches. All are produced using the latest high detail products in the Hornby range and the set is limited to just 1,000 pieces.

Also included in the train set is a third radius oval of track, a controller, transformer, power connecting track and a rerailer making this an ideal starting point for a ‘OO’ gauge tabletop layout – just as the original Hornby Dublo sets were.

To enter the competition and be in with a chance of winning this superb celebratory train set or one of the 15 runner up prizes, all you have to do is answer the following simple question by October 25 2020. Even you don’t win the Hornby centenary year limited edition products, including the Sir Nigel Gresley train set, are available to purchase from Hornby’s retailer network.
