WOODEN WONDERS
The Mosquito is a popular subject in both kit and decal forms and this set from ModelMaker supplies markings for five airframes flown by Polish crews as part of 305 (Polish) Squadron during World War Two and includes one machine flown in West Germany in the immediate post-war period.

With Airfix’s newly-tooled 1/48 de Havilland Vampire due in the coming months, the new Wingleader book on the type is an excellent visual study.
FLYING SWIMMERS
While the de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter isn’t popular with kit manufacturers – Matchbox/Revell produce the only mainstream 1/72 styrene offering – Iliad’s treatise on the type is well received, having now been re-printed with a bonus scheme.
