Eduard
Czech company Eduard produces high-quality styrene kits, cast and 3D-printed resin accessories, photo-etched metal details and standard/3D decals. The kits come in ProfiPACK and Dual Combo limited-edition forms, as well as standard and Weekend Edition versions. ProfiPACK and Dual Combo items come with extra accessories and tape masks. Highlights from this firm are its 1/48 P-51D Mustang and MiG-21 series kits.
PROTECTOR OF THE NILE
Andrew Terrell tackles Eduard’s classic 1/48 MiG-21MF, finishing it as a weather-worn Egyptian Air Force machine in this full build feature.
ARMED AND DANGEROUS
Alongside the weapons in this set for the 1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-4, Eduard’s Brassin offering also includes the rear of the type’s BMW 801 powerplant, firewall, upper cowling sections and windscreen enhancements.
Fighter-Bomber Fittings
Special Hobby and Azur-FRROM’s collaborative Dassault Super Mystère is arguably the best kit depicting the type in 1/72 scale.
Supersonic Rocket Ship
Eduard’s 1/72 MiG-21 is the recipient of these UB-1657 rocket launchers - the pack contains four pods and associated pylons, constructed from a combination of resin and photo-etched metal components.
Heat-Safe Explosives
This set of 1/48 early-model Paveway Laser-Guided Bombs (LGB) from Eduard depicts Mk.83 munitions with an ablative coating designed to protect them if exposed to fire.
Focke-Wulf 'Office'
It’s the turn of Eduard’s own Fw 190A-5 to receive attention, with a stunning resin and photo-etched (PE) metal cockpit.
Tomcat 'Pads'
Tomcat fans are definitely being spoiled at the moment, and Eduard has added to the mix with a set of resin late-style main- and nosewheels.
Viper 'Tub' Upgrade
Modellers wanting a quick improvement for their Tamiya Block 25 F-16Cs will find Eduard’s ‘Zoom’ set a boon.
Double Trouble Armaments
Aircraft/helicopter-mounted gun pods containing the Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-23 twin-barrel cannon are given the designation UPK-23 and modellers can now add these Soviet-designed fittings to their 1/48 aircraft models, courtesy of this Eduard Brassin set.
Kate Adornments
Designed for Hasegawa’s 1/48 Nakajima B5N Kate, this photo-etched (PE) metal fret contains parts to enhance the cockpit, front cowling, undercarriage bays and tailwheel.
