BATTLE OF FRANCE FIGHTER
EXPANDED CONTENT: Having delighted modellers with its lovely Bf 109E-4, Special Hobby has been quick to follow this with its immediate predecessor, the E-3, which lacked pilot armour and the engine-mounted cannon. We've now updated our original review with parts photos and colour scheme sheets.
EARLY 'EMIL' ARMAMENT
Special Hobby’s new-tool 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf 109 has drawn many plaudits since its recent release, but those seeking extra detail will appreciate subsidiary firm CMK’s detailing sets – such as this wing armament package for E-1 or E-5 versions.
“RADIO CHECK, OVER…”
Designed to fit Special Hobby’s newly tooled Bf 109E kits, this upgrade adds a set of FuG VII radio equipment for the rear fuselage, all visible behind a separate hatch.
BAYERISCHE FLUGZEUGWERKE BOOT SET
While kit-supplied wheels are often more than acceptable, they are one of the easiest components to replace with aftermarket enhancements, such as these items for 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109E/F kits.
STICKY STENCILS
This is one of three sets dedicated to Tamiya’s recent 1/48 Bf 109G-6 and provides self-adhesive templates for the fuselage code numbers/symbols (other sets address national insignia and the canopy).
