THE ARTWORK for Key Publishing's exclusive limited edition Hornby 'OO' gauge CrossCountry HST twin pack has been revealed featuring 43184 Laira Diesel Depot and 43366 HST40.
The exclusive limited edition models the two Class 43 HST power cars in their final months of service with CrossCountry between March 2023 and September 2023. The two power cars were also used on Modern Railways charter from Leeds to Kidderminster in September 2022 when 43366 was named HST40 at Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway.
Highlights of the limited edition 'OO' gauge power car pack including the latest tooling from Hornby which features working directional lights with options for day and night modes, an independently powered roof fan, full cab interior detail and cab lighting, a small tension lock couplings on a kinematic mount, finely detailed body, full underframe detail, all-wheel drive on the powered power car, a 21-pin DCC decoder socket and factory fitted twin speakers in both power cars. The DCC sound fitted version (Cat No. R30386TXS) is equipped with Hornby Triplex Sound Bluetooth decoders in each power car.
Delivery is expected in the third quarter of 2024 with prices set at £359.99 for the DCC ready version (R30385) and £399.99 for DCC sound fitted version (R30386TXS). Both are available to pre-order exclusive through Key Publishing's Key Model World Shop with a non-refundable £10 deposit.
