Heljan and Realism Redefined – the retail arm of Britain’s Biggest Model Railway – have joined forces to create a ready-to-run ‘O’ gauge model of the PCA depressed centre bulk powder four-wheel tanker.
The all-new model will be produced exclusively for Realism Redefined by Heljan and models the depressed centre PCA tanks used for cement and chemical traffic since the 1980s.
The model is at the tooling phase with the first engineering prototypes expected to arrive in early 2023. Features of the ready-to-run model are set to include compensated axles, fine pipework, separately fitted walkways, underframe detail, sprung buffers and working Instanter couplings.
The first batch includes ten individually numbered and decorated wagons, finished as 10800, 10894,10747,10739,10777, 10770, 10762, 10749, 10738 and 10888 in Blue Circle Cement grey, TRL10527 in Lever Bros/Tiger Rail Leasing livery and finally TRL10530 and PR9498 in Albright & Wilson/Procor livery.
Priced at £99 each, release is expected in late 2023.
