Hornby renews the GBL
Hornby has replaced its ageing Tri-ang heritage model of the Southern Railway Gangwayed Bogie Luggage van with a brand-new tooling. GRAHAM MUSPRATT inspects this 2021 product range item.

ANNOUNCED as part of the Hornby 2021 range, the new Southern Railway Gangwayed Bogie Luggage (GBL) vans have now arrived with retailers. An old version of these vans with a Tri-ang heritage has been in and out of the Hornby catalogue for some time, but they were very much a compromise. These newly released models are a welcome addition to the range.
Above: Hornby’s new ‘OO’ gauge model of the SR Gangwayed Bogie Luggage van is available in standard BR crimson and SR olive green as well as Pullman colours. This is the BR crimson model of S2467S.
