MAKING A SCENE: Submerged Spitfire scene

DAN EVASON was inspired by a story to create this stunning scene in 4mm scale - which, with adaptation, could be set in any era from the dawn of flight to the present day.

This project is inspired by reading a story of a young farmer’s son who witnessed a plane during the Second World War suffering engine failure. He saw the pilot bail out and the stricken aircraft crash into a boggy area of the farmland where it was abandoned. At the time it was deemed unrecoverable and sunk to its fate.
