Howbrooke - the modern railway in 'OO'

WHILE OUR CLUB (Sheffield Model Railway Enthusiasts) had a large tail-chaser in ‘OO’ gauge already called Somewhere Anywhere, new members joining the club wanting to run their stock meant the current layout very soon filled and while it served its purpose it soon reached capacity. A group of club members including myself decided another layout was needed, and we would adopt a generic storage yard approach. This means that all components are built to a common standard and scenic areas are dropped in and out of the same off-scene storage yard depending on what we want to run. As this new project was to be an exhibition layout/series of layouts, they could be exhibited based on what exhibition managers wanted at their shows allowing different eras or scenes to be selected.
