Catering for its own recent kit releases, Ukraine’s ICM has issued two fresh acrylic paint packages for OV-10 Bronco and CH-54A Tarhe builds.
If you’re planning to complete recent ICM boxings of its 1/48 OV-10A Bronco, or the huge new 1/35 CH-54A Tarhe helicopter, the company has just the paint shades you need. Adding to many existing sets in the range, ICM now offers item 3026 ‘US Helicopters’, with the firm’s new CH-54A in mind. As usual, six 12ml bottle of acrylic paint are provided and here they are: 1071 Camouflage Green, 1072 US Dark Green, 1001 White, 1007 Deep Red, 1027 Gun Metal and 1011 Clear Red.
Set 3028 ‘US Aviation 1980-1990’ has another six hues for two schemes applied to the Bronco, and the colours are: 1055 Deck Tan, 1056 Light Earth, 1039 Rubber Black, 1072 US Dark Green, 1032 Blue Grey and 1011 Clear Red.
While ICM has used its own colour names, rather than adhering to Federal Standard names and code numbers, the paints are close matches but of course, can be lightened/darkened to suit. You can, obviously, employ them on other manufacturers’ Bronco and Tarhe kits, regardless of scale. Each costs £7.40 from UK importer Hannants. See ICM’s website for details on the full range.
