Luftwaffe modellers will be delighted with the news of a freshly tooled, 1/32 Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 from Kōtare. The company, founded by former members of Wingnut Wings, has already delighted many World War Two fans with its different 1/32 Spitfire Mk.I boxings, which are brimming with innovative design and detail.

Now, though, Kōtare looks to the late-war period – and an Axis subject – for its next project, to be released this year or the next. The Bf 109K was an attempt by Germany to simplify ‘109 production, incorporating features of the G-10 and G-14 with new equipment. The CAD renders included here show fittings synonymous with the K-4 (such as a retractable tailwheel) but the company’s Richard Alexander is requesting further information on this interesting sub-type. If you think you can help, contact Richard via Kōtare's 'About' web page. Key Model World will bring you more news on this exciting project as its received.
