New warehouse and mail
order operation for KMRC
Kernow Model Rail Centre (KMRC) has expanded its mail order operation with the introduction of a new warehouse.
The new facility located in Camborne will handle the Cornwall based retailer's mail order business and as a result recruitment is underway for staff to join the team with new opportunities for picking and packing staff for the new warehouse and customer service staff for its existing retail premises in the town too.
Model railway knowledge would be an advantage, but is not essential.
KMRC's Managing Director, Chris Trerise, commented, "The unique circumstances that we have experienced this year has seen a further growth in the mail order side of the business. Due to the limited space available within the Camborne store this has meant that to manage the mail order operation in an efficient and Covid-19 safe way, the Camborne store has only been able to operate a click and collect service for visiting customers."
The existing shops at Camborne and Guildford will continue to serve customers in accordance with the latest Covid-19 restrictions and all existing contact details and order methods remain the same. The new warehouse will not be open to the public.
