'Victory' 0-6-0T for 'OO'
from Planet Industrials

Planet Industrials has unveiled plans for its first 'OO' gauge ready-to-run locomotive - a Kerr Stuart 'Victory' 0-6-0T.

PI Victory

Built in 1917, ten standard gauge 'Victory' 0-6-0T locomotives were delivered to the Royal Engineers' Inland Waterways and Docks Section in the south of England. Following the First World War, the class were dispersed to colliery, docks and railway service, some remaining in industrial use into the late 1960s.

Planet Industrials' new 'OO' gauge locomotive has already progressed to the tooling stage and will feature an injection-moulded body, diecast metal chassis, high-torque motor, flywheel, 40:1 gearbox, all-wheel pick-up, Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, factory-fitted cube speaker, full cab detail, sprung buffers, small tension lock couplings in NEM pockets and more. Models will be offered DCC ready, DCC fitted and DCC sound fitted.

Colour schemes currently under consideration include satin black with red lining, plain satin black as ROD 608, satin dark green with straw-yellow lining and satin mid-grey with white-black-white lettering as IW&D 12. A fret containing all ten works plates will also be included.

Models will only be available direct from Planet Industrials, priced at £130 (plus post and packing) per DCC ready model. Prices for DCC fitted/DCC sound-fitted models and a delivery date have yet to be confirmed.
