Digital sound specialist YouChoos has created a brand-new sound file for the ever-popular Class 47 diesel-electric utilising the latest ZIMO MS series decoders. MIKE WILD shows how it can be used to upgrade the outgoing 21-pin generation Bachmann Class 47.
DIGITAL SOUND is one of the most interactive parts of the world of digital control, and there are new advances in technology which chip manufacturers and sound producers are embracing to create the most realistic sound profiles we have seen yet.
In this installation guide we are using one of the new generation ZIMO MS series decoders which has a brand-new Class 47 sound file from YouChoos loaded onto it to make full use of this new decoder platform’s abilities. The recording were captured from 47579 at the Mid Hants Railway to capture exactly how these long-standing and popular Brush built Type 4s with their Sulzer 12LDA28-C engines sound.
