Bigger and Better: Hailsham & District Scale Model Show Report

The Hailsham and District Model Show featured a new larger venue and was a great success, as Mike and Ethan Williams report.

Held for the first time in three years due to the COVID pandemic, IPMS East Sussex/Hailsham & District Scale Model Club hosted its annual show on July 2 in a new venue for 2022, located just outside Eastbourne.

The Eastbourne Sports Park was much bigger than previous premises with plenty of room and importantly – as mentioned by more than a handful of attendees – lots of natural diffused light. It was apparent from the outset that this location offers the club plenty of potential to grow in years to come. With a well-supported competition, numerous club and special interest group (SIG) displays to enjoy and inspire, plus excellent trade stalls willing and able to make your wallet lighter, it was deemed a rousing success by all who attended.
