Czech company Art Scale Kit – otherwise known as ASK Distribution – has issued two handy resin and metal upgrades for HK Models’ new A-20G Havoc.
Never mind that HK Models’ new-tool 1/32 A-20G Havoc is a stunning kit, but it was always going to be a ripe target for aftermarket producers, such as ASK Distribution. The firm has released two high-quality improvement packages for modellers who fancy taking their project to another level.
The first is A-20 Seat Set (200-A32002, top), which provides a 3D-printed resin seat with scale thickness, plus colour-printed paper harnesses and a full set of buckles and fasteners in photo-etched metal. There’s much to ‘play’ with here, as the belts will need threading through the buckles and fasteners, emulating the real items. Simple instructions are on the rear of the packaging, and the seat simply needs its printing plinths removing and it’s good to go.
Our other sample from ASK is Browning .50 cal 12.7mm guns for A-20 Havoc and others (200-A32004). This legendary weapons equipped many bombers and fighters, but the ‘strafer’ A-20G Havoc sported ten in total. ASK’s resin replacement barrels have open muzzles and fine cooling jacket holes – and are an easy swap for the kit’s styrene versions.
Prices for both are yet to be announced so keep checking the ASK website. Do note, though, that ASK also has single- and double-sided masking sets for HK’s Havoc, priced at €8.40 and €14 respectively.
