GB Railfreight's Paul Matthews and Bachmann Europe's Keith Thomas reveal the £60,000 cheque at a ceremony at Doncaster Roberts Road Rail Maintenance Depot on September 9 2021.

Bachmann Europe has donated £60,000 to NHS Charities Together, during a special ceremony at the GB Railfreight/EMD Roberts Road Rail Maintenance Depot in Doncaster.

The sum was raised from the sale of special 'N' and 'OO' gauge Pride of Britain train packs, celebrating the fundraising achievements of Captain Sir Tom Moore and honouring the outstanding achievements of the NHS and all key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The limited edition sets were available to Bachmann Collectors Club members and contained a Graham Farish 'N' or Bachmann Branchline 'OO' model of Class 66/7 66731 Capt. Tom Moore in GB Railfreight's 'Thank You NHS' livery, together with 1:72 scale models of Hawker Hurricane LF363 and Supermarine Spitfire MK356, which performed a flypast for Captain Sir Tom on his 100th birthday.

During the visit a cheque for £60,000 was unveiled, which will be donated to NHS Charities Together.

A limited number of each Pride of Britain train pack are still available direct from the Bachmann Collectors Club.
