Richard from Hornby Magazine attended the Manchester Model Railway exhibition 2019, one of the layouts that stood out was Cheadle Ridge Lane TMD, a modern image DRS depot.
Cheadle Ridge Lane TMD is Steven Lindley's exhibition layout using 'OO' gauge code 100 track and a fully DCC operated layout. The exhibition layout is 6ft x 1.5ft wide. It models a Direct Rail Services traction maintenance depot in the current era and features a single track depot building with full interior detail, sidings, an off-scene storage yard area and more.
As well as operating as a present day setting, Cheadle Ridge can also be backdated to the 1990s with a change of the maintenance depot building and reloading of the locomotives.
Cheadle Ridge Lane TMD is a regular on the exhibition circuit after making its debut in 2018. Watch our video of this layout below.
