Dapol reviews next batch of ‘Hoovers’
Dapol.has received decorated samples of its next batch of ‘N’ gauge BR Class 50 diesels for evaluation by the company's development team.
Three standard models form this next set of ‘N' gauge releases including 50046 Ajax in BR large logo blue (Cat No. 2D-002-006/D/S), 50018 Resolution in revised Network SouthEast colours (2D-002-007/D/S) and 50149 Defiance in Railfreight Distribution grey (2D-002-005/D/S). In addition, DCC Supplies has commissioned an exclusive model of 50008 Thunderer in Laira blue (2D-002-DCC3).
As with previous releases, these models feature a die-cast metal chassis, five-pole motor, all-wheel pick-up and drive, Next18 DCC decoder socket, independent directional lighting, cab interior illumination, self-centring coupling mechanism with NEM pockets, etched metal nameplates and buffer beam fittings.
Once approved, the models will progress to production.
Prices for standard models are set at £149.95 DCC ready, £179.95 DCC fitted and £255 DCC sound-fitted. DCC sound-fitted examples are exclusive to the Dapol website. DCC Supplies' exclusive model of 50008 is priced at £144.95 DCC ready, £170.53 DCC fitted and £284.95 DCC sound-fitted.
