The firm’s latest book, a thumping 344-page tome, came about purely by chance but is linked to Urbanke’s previous book, Die Panther-Abteilung “Brandenburg” 1945. A serving German Army officer had read it, and contacted the publisher to inform him that his father had commanded the 2nd Company of that same unit during World War Two, and offered sight of his diary.
