Gaugemaster '60' gains colour
Gaugemaster has received a decorated sample of its recently-commissioned Heljan 'O' gauge BR Class 60, 60081 Isambard Kingdom Brunel in mock Great Western Railway (GWR) lined Brunswick green (Cat No. GM7240201).
60081 gained its distinctive colour scheme in 2000 for the Old Oak Common depot open day celebrations in West London. It was named at the event and featured cast GWR style metal number and nameplates, together with other traditional embellishments.
This exclusive 'O' gauge commission appears in the expanding Gaugemaster Collection of limited edition models, available direct and from stockists of the company's products. It will feature twin five-pole motors, flywheels, heavy diecast chassis, all-wheel pick-up, directional lighting, detailed interior, see-through grilles, sprung buffers and separately fitted handrails.
Priced at £659.95 each, just 75 examples are being produced. Delivery is expected in early September.
