Grafar Class 319 EMUs reach ‘deco’ stage

Bachmann’s newly-tooled ‘N’ gauge Graham Farish Class 319 four-car Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) have reached the decoration stage of the development process.

Three different models are planned as 319004 in BR Network SouthEast stripes, (Cat No. 372-875), 319382 in Thameslink colours (372-876) and 319362 in Northern Rail livery (372-877).

Each of the units will be fitted with a powerful coreless motor and flywheel, all-wheel pick-up, conductive couplings between vehicles, switchable directional lighting, interior illumination, fully detailed interiors, Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket and either sprung Brecknell Willis or Stone Faiveley pantograph (according to prototype). Each will also feature functional couplings at the outer ends to create longer formations.

The livery samples are currently being evaluated by the development team.

Prices are set at £319.95 each, with delivery expected in early 2022.
