NSE 86 for GM Collection

Gaugemaster has added another exclusive ‘OO’ gauge Heljan Class 86 to its GM Collection, as 86401 in Network SouthEast (NSE) livery.

86401 was repainted in Network SouthEast colours in 1987 for the inauguration of the Cambridge electrification scheme, hauling a special train from London Liverpool Street for the occasion.

The AC electric also worked the peak Euston-Northampton commuter services and was named Northampton Town in mid-1989. Despite the limited sphere of its colour scheme, 86401 ventured far and wide.

Gaugemaster’s exclusive ‘OO’ gauge example of 86401 in NSE livery will model the locomotive without nameplates, enabling customers to add their own, if required.

Bearing the hallmarks of Heljan’s recently reworked ‘OO’ gauge Class 86/4, the models will feature a five-pole motor, all-wheel drive and pick-up, metal pantograph, directional lights and an accessory detail pack.

Priced at £239.95, a delivery date has yet to be confirmed.
