Work at Kilmarnock station continues with the Kilmarnock Station Railway Heritage trust helping those in the community improve their physical and mental health wellbeing.
In addition to providing counselling, the trust has established a Breaking Bread project where individuals can learn new baking skills and socialise with others from their community in a fully equipped training bakery. For further information please visit www.ksrht.org.
Other community projects are going well, with the Station Gamers scale model shop (open Tues-Fri 10am-4pm and Sat 10am-2pm) proving a valued addition to the town. The trust is working with AMMO-MIG (www.migjimenez.com) to provide fundraising opportunities to assist not only those affected by mental health issues through counselling but also supporting the fight against cancer. A portion of funds raised through the sale of AMMO-MIG products in the Station Gamers shop will go towards helping both causes.
