Lionheart Trains has added two new ‘O’ gauge BR Mk 1 carriages to its range with announcement of all-new Brake Corridor Composite (BCK) and Corridor First (FK) coaches.
Revealed at the recent Guildex ‘O’ gauge exhibition, the new vehicles will initially be based on as-built examples constructed between 1951 and 1960.
Lionheart Trains’ newly-tooled models will feature die-cast bogie frames, fully detailed accurate underframes, as-built profiled windows and ventilators, removable roof, detailed interiors and sprung metal buffers.
BR Mk 1 BCK’s are set to appear in BR maroon, BR crimson and cream, BR chocolate and cream and BR blue and grey, while the FK’s will also be available in the same colour schemes, together with the addition of a BR green version. Several different running numbers will be available across the two vehicle types, together with unnumbered examples too.
Currently at the Engineering Prototype (EP) sample stage, any necessary alterations will now be made to the tooling, while artwork is also in development.
Prices are set at £222.45 each Digital Command Control (DCC) ready and £261.57 DCC fitted. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
