Rapido Trains UK is to produce a new batch of ‘OO’ gauge London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) Dynamometer Cars.
Originally released as an exclusive model for Rails of Sheffield/Locomotion Models, this latest batch of vehicles will be available as a general release through Rapido Trains UK.
Three models will be available finished as 23591 in LNER lined teak, with optional duckets (Cat No. 935001), 905202 in post-1946 LNER lined teak, as it appeared during the 1948 Locomotive Exchange Trials (935002) and an all-new livery variation as 905202 in post-1949 BR faux teak with BR Gill Sans lettering (935003).
These new releases will bear the hallmarks of the previous models with highly detailed interiors displaying seating and instrumentation, detailed underframe with distinctive speed recording wheel, flush glazing, etched metal parts and they will benefit from enhanced decoration, amended roof colours and improved lettering.
