DOUBLE ROMAN REVEAL
SPECIAL HOBBY has delighted modellers by announcing newly tooled SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 kits in 1/72 and 1/48, and has now revealed a selection of parts from the upcoming small-scale release.
This Italian training/light attack aircraft was developed originally as an aerobatics design by Stelio Frati and the Aviamilano company before production was transferred to SIAI-Marchetti; this firm introduced the type in 1964, with most sales going to military services.
The type is still in production with Leonardo, and ongoing development means variants have included piston-powered and turboprop-driven machines, plus armed SF.260W Warrior versions.
Special Hobby has made advanced progress with the 1/72 scale kit, with the first images of the runners plus boxart and decals - this offering (SH 72418) will be available before the end of 2020, with the 'upscaled' 1/48 version to follow in spring 2021; for further details, visit: www.specialhobby.eu
