With an expanding collection of exclusive limited edition models available to members of the Bachmann Collectors Club, MARK CHIVERS casts a glance at the club’s striking Graham Farish ‘N’ gauge Class 37/5.
One of the benefits of being a member of the Bachmann Collectors Club is access to exclusive models from the company’s ‘OO’ and ‘N’ gauge ranges.
Amongst these limited edition exclusive models is this Graham Farish ‘N’ gauge Class 37/5, finished as 37501 Teesside Steelmaster in its unique British Steel pale blue colour scheme.
The prototype gained its distinctive new look in the mid-1980s following a heavy general overhaul, gaining Thornaby kingfisher depot motifs and British Steel logos and was subsequently named Teesside Steelmaster in 1987.
Above: Bachmann’s ‘N’ gauge Class 37/5 37501 Teesside Steelmaster in British Steel branded pale blue is available now exclusively to Collectors Club members.
As with the real thing, the Collectors Club exclusive has been finished in refurbished condition with flush cab fronts and high-intensity headlights, while the specification also includes a three-pole motor, six-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, directional head and tail lights, flush glazing and cab interior.
