'O' GAUGE modern image is benefitting from the arrival of Dapol's new 7mm scale model of the BR 'Turbot' spoil and ballast wagons. These engineering vehicles were rebuilt from the Bogie Bolster E fleet during the 1980s and the last were withdrawn from service in the early 2000s.

Dapol's new 'O' gauge model features a fully detailed chassis, sprung buffers, working instanter couplings, turned metal wheels and the option to remove the dropside doors.

For this video feature we set up a short rake of 'Turbots' behind a 'Dutch' liveried Class 33/0 from the Heljan stable to showcase the wagons in action on our test track. Watch them here and read our full review in HM160 - on sale from September 3 2020 - or online here at KeyModelWorld in the Reviews section.
