'D' decorated samples debut

The collaboration between Locomotion Models, Dapol and Rails of Sheffield have revealed decorated samples of the Wainwright 'D' 4-4-0 for 'OO' gauge. Delivery is now expected in 2021 following final revisions to the livery application.

Accurascale updates Class 37 project

Accurascale has updated the expected delivery timescale for its new range of 'OO' gauge Class 37s which are now scheduled to be available in the second quarter of 2021. 

Trains4U KFA in colour

Cavalex Models has received updated decorated samples for its exclusive model of the KFA/PFB 'Warflat' wagons for Trains4U. The new 'OO' gauge wagon are only available from Train4U with prices set at £35 each.

Kernow receives 'Road Van' sample

Kernow Model Rail Centre has received the first engineering sample for its 'OO' gauge London South Western Railway (LSWR) 10ton 'Road Van'. The 'Road Vans' were introduced in 1884 by the LSWR and were late classed as SR Diagram 1541.

Murphy Models Class 121 coming soon

Murphy Models has released images of the decorated samples of its new 'OO' gauge model of the Irish Railways Class 121 Bo-Bo diesel. The all-new ready-to-run locomotive is expected to arrive with retailers during August.

Railway Laser Lines range expands

Railway Laser Lines has recently added two new kits and three packs of safety fencing to its laser-cut range of railway buildings and accessories.

Heljan shows latest Class 37/4s for 'O'

Heljan has released images of its latest batch of Class 37/4 decorated samples for 'O' gauge while Revolution Trains has also shown the livery sample for its DRS limited edition produced by the Danish manufacturer.

Heljan Class 17 revealed for 'O'

Heljan has revealed the first factory decorated sample of its new 'O' gauge Class 17 Bo-Bo Type 1 diesel. Production versions are expected to arrive in the shops before the end of 2020.

Revolution Class A Tanks progress

Revolution Trains has revealed progress on its forthcoming ‘N’ gauge Class A tank wagons, as the project reaches the CAD stage of the production process. Built in the late 1950s, Class A tankers featured a longer barrel than their Class B counterparts and were designed for carrying lighter fuels.

'A2/2' and 'A2/3' livery artwork revealed

Hornby has released livery artwork for its new 2020 range models of the LNER 'A2/2' and 'A2/3' 4-6-2 for 'OO' gauge.

Hornby receives 'Hush Hush' sample

Hornby has received the first engineering samples of its LNER 'W1' 4-6-4 for 'OO' gauge together with releasing side profile artwork of the locomotive in its different liveries.

Revolution IWA samples for 'OO'

Revolution Trains (RT) has received Engineering Prototype (EP) samples of its forthcoming ‘OO’ gauge IWA bogie wagons for evaluation. Samples of the manufacturer’s ‘N’ gauge IWAs are also expected soon.

‘N’ Pendolino rerun

Revolution Trains (RT) is seeking expressions of interest for another production run of its ‘N’ gauge Class 390 Pendolino Electric Multiple Unit (EMU). Manufactured by Rapido Trains of Canada, it is now more than two years since RT’s ‘N’ gauge Pendolinos first appeared in a raft of Virgin Trains liveried identities.

HYA/IIA hoppers next for ‘OO’ from Accurascale

Accurascale has unveiled plans for its next ‘OO’ gauge model - the HYA/IIA bogie hopper wagon. Release is planned for the second quarter of 2021 in GBRf, Fastline and Touax livery packs available.

Dapol reveals Stroudley carriage samples

A new collection of ‘O’ gauge four-wheel Stroudley carriages are set to be released in the fourth quarter of 2020 by Dapol. The new line up will be manufacturered in the UK at Dapol’s factory in Chirk and were originally announced at the Dapol Collectors Club open day in 2018.

Rails shares Autocar decoration sample

Rails of Sheffield has received the first decorated sample of its new 'OO' gauge model of the North Eastern Railway petrol-electric Autocar for inspection.

Hatton's shows Genesis coach progress

Hatton's has released its approved CAD drawings for its range of four and six-wheel carriages for 'OO' gauge. Release is planned in the first quarter of 2021.

Revolution production Class 92

Revolution Trains has revealed production samples of its soon to be released 'N' gauge model of the Class 92 Co-Co dual voltage electric. Final livery corrections have been made and approved.

ModelU adds crew packs and buildings details

3D printing specialist ModelU 3D has introduced a new range of steam locomotive crew packs as well as a series of building details to expand its range.

Dapol adds three new Class 66s for 'N'

Dapol has announced three new liveries for its 'N' gauge model of the Class 66 Co-Co heavy freight diesels modelling Malcolm Rail, Freightliner and GBRf Cemex colour schemes.

Bachmann Autumn announcements

Bachmann has announced new products across its Bachmann Branchline, Graham Farish and Scenecraft ranges in both 'N' and 'OO' gauges. Followed by the launching of its new brand EFE Rail in its Autumn announcement 2020.

Hornby has revealed LBSCR ‘Terrier’ 32635 Brighton Works in Stroudley ‘improved engine green’ as the next exclusive Hornby Collector Club model for ‘OO’ gauge. The model is only available to Hornby Collector Club members and is a follow up to soon to be released Club model of Bluebell Railway Wainwright ‘H’ 0-4-4T 263.
